I’m a twenty and some Washington Born, Alaska Grown transplant to beautiful Rocky Mountain High Colorado. I fell in love with my best friend and on March 15, 2009, we tied the knot in a little white Church “just over the river” in Washington and set out on the beginning of our happily ever after in a funny little green house in Northern Idaho. A year later, we unexpectedly found ourselves setting out on a long journey South to almost Dixie land. We’ve moved from the little small brick house on the busiest street this country couple ever lived on to a tinier blue house a little farther off the road. I’m especially happy because of the clothesline out behind the house. We’re calling this our temporary home sweet home, because you never know where life will take us in the coming months.
Happily ever after continues to be happier than I could have ever dreamed possible, in spite of the bumps that life brings, and every single day I am thankful for the blessings, and the beauty that God has surrounded us with.
We are blessed with an amazing family. Between the two of us, we have four wonderful parents, seven brothers and six sisters and two nephews, a niece and another tiny little one on the way. We love our family so much!
Random Things about this Scribbler
I love barefoot days and sunshine and dandelion covered lawns. I love the sound of rain at night and the feel of ocean breezes on my face. I love little things. I like watching ants. I don’t drink coffee, but I love the smell and I wish that they made an air freshener that smells like a good cup tea. I love to read, and think that books are some of the best decorations in the world. Especially if they are old. Poetry, music and laughter make me happy, and I have some of the best friends in the whole world.
I often wish I could write, but compared to the great writers and authors I am blessed to know, I am content to just be a scribbler for now. This blog is the record of the life that we live, the big things and especially the little ones. It is all about the joy that He gives in this journey of life.
You can also find me and some of my scribbles over on YLCF and little scraps of life @springjoys. My sister in law and I also write some sense and nonsense on our new blog, des amis: a tale of time.
